Training Program for National Participation Council

Within the project: Slovakia and European future of Moldova (building capacities of Moldovan NGO sector for dialogue with state administration on European future of Moldova), the Pontis Foundation (Slovakia) and the East Europe Foundation (EEF) announce the Call for Participation in the training program for member organizations under National Participation Council in Moldova.

The training program will be held in Chisinau in spring/summer 2011. Training will consist of three 3-day blocks, in which participants will have a chance to learn about:
1. Slovak experience in promoting the ideas of direct democracy and pro-European reforms.
2. EU, how it works, its institutions and communication with NGOs.
3. Practical aspects in different fields, e.g. advocacy, fundraising, etc. (the topics for trainings will be established based on the application forms).

Part of the training will also be writing of case studies in the style of "policy papers" in order to be able to communicate it successfully to international audience. Training will also include component of effective communication towards decision makers and public.

The above mentioned are the basic framework areas, however, the detailed agenda of the trainings will be set based on the needs of NPC members that will be described in the applications.

In addition to that, Pontis Foundation and EEF will organize two study trips for 10 participants of the training program to Slovakia and Brussels for the purpose of meeting and personal consultation with relevant representatives of the Slovak and European institutions and individuals involved in the Slovak integration process into the EU and other Euro-integration process, or are now dealing with EU enlargement. Participants of the study visits will be selected by the panel of experts.

Participants of the training program will have a chance after the end of the training program to take part in a closed competition to gain support for the implementation of communication / advocacy campaigns in the form of small grant.

How to apply: every member organization under National Participation Council can apply and delegate 1 person by filling up an application attached to this call. Every NPC member organization will be accepted based on sending the filled application.

The final list of training participants will be announced no later than February 15, 2011 on the website of EEF (www.eef.md) and Pontis Foundation (www.nadaciapontis.sk) and by email to NPC members.
