Orphans from Cahul are More Confident about Their Future

orphansCahul Boarding School for orphan children was transformed into the Complex of Social Services for Children and Young People. EEF-Ms NGO partner, Partnerships for Every Child contributed to the refurbishment of the vocational workshops (woodworking, tailoring, cooking, computer literacy) for young people and children residents of the center.

For those youths de-institutionalized as well as those remaining in the residential care centers, it was a significant change.  . All  were empowered through comprehensive life skills attained at trainings and vocational programs. The level of self-esteem of children and youth has also been raised as they became more confident of their capabilities.

 

In addition, 22 children and young people  have reintegrated with their family, re-establishing relations with their parents, siblings, friends, school, and community. They are now confident about their future, feel a part of their family, and that they are important members of their families.

Effective strategies and services helped to improve the quality of life of 14 young people and assist them to make successful transitions into adulthood and independence. 6 graduates were successfully integrated into society. Another 8 youth that will graduate next year have been enabled to finish their studies and acquire professional skills.
